Happy China in West Columbia

The rice was loaded with meat, smells good and the wings was the best. Now the meat is minced little pieces in the rice. Waiting to see if they go back to the nice portion of food.

Beware. They are letting people in with no mask and going to the buffet.only have to wear gloves. So people can cough in food

A big variety of tasteless low quality food. It is cheap and if you value big portions with low cost over quality and refinement, this place is for you.

I visited this place a few years ago and really liked the food, but came back today a little more than disappointed. I brought my wife and two year old son. When we arrived, I needed to change my son’s diaper only to find out that there were no changing tables in either the men’s nor women’s restrooms. I had to change him on a dirty bathroom floor. When we ate, the food did not compare to the last time I’d been here. A lot of the meats were over cooked. Definitely was an upsetting experience this time around. Customer service was nice and the only reason I did not give a one star rating today. Bring back the good quality food I had the first time I came here and for the love of god INSTALL CHANGING TABLES IN YOUR RESTROOMS!

Well due to the pandemic it has been a quite few months since I came back to dine in, Regardless of the time the food is still good tasty....and for the safety everything is plastic utensils....I enjoy my dinner....🙏💗

The service was great but the food wasn't.

The food was ok; I've had better. However, the treatment from the employees was quite rude. I asked one of the employees what was in a certain dish on their buffet, and she yelled the answer at me. Then she started slamming things and mumbled something at me. Then, the man at the register was very dismissive and not friendly either. I'm not quick to assume that when people mistreat me its because of my race. However, that's what it felt like. Regardless of the reason, it made me feel uncomfortable and I haven't been back since.

Yes they r open for dine in.....make u pay before u go in...11.95...and then I go in and there is only half the buffet 😵

Good selection of food and good prices. Friendly staff and quick service. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Tasty dishes and food is fresh and hot. Plenty of desserts to choose from too. The ice cream machine has thick cold cream. Waitress kept our table clear of dirty dishes and kept our glasses full. Good job folks!

Very large selection of foods. My only complaint is that they have their warmers set to high. I touched a metal spoon handle that was very hot and several items had dried out crunchy from over heating for a long time. But I still found a lot of dishes I liked.

My kids and I love this place. Tiffany and her staff are so sweet and always make us feel welcome. The food offered is hot and fresh and there are a lot of yummy choices.

One of my favorite places to eat. They have some of the best Chinese food you will eat. The house chicken is amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Had lunch today at Happy China, you pay when you go in front door and get disposable gloves then proceed into dining area where the tables are spread out for social distancing and they seat you. they ask what you want to drink they get it in and give plastic utensils and disposable plates at bar everything tasted great.

Good food at a not so cheap price for a buffet. And pretty fast Tea service. Thanks

Here I am in West Columbia, South Carolina, and after my brother-in-law and I toured Downtown Columbia for our 1st visit to the area.We worked up quite an appetite when we spotted Happy China and unable to park at other eating establishments.Forgive me, but while the restaurant wasn't much to look at, the food was tremendous.We helped ourselves to our favorite tapas (baked fish, rice noodles, broccoli and cheeseand settled down to what was a great meal with great conversation; then a 2nd plate of fruit and sushi (wasabi cured all ails). Then a thank you to the attending staff who watched over us and cared for our every need.Happy China is much more than a buffet because the food and service transforms you. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The food was fresh and crispy. My friends and I had a blast. Nice atmosphere too. Very kind and helpful staff.

Love this place. Good bit to choose from on the buffet... They have salad, seafood, wings, steak along with traditional American/Asian food and they even have frog legs and sushi.

It has a great all you can eat bar, or take out by the pound. Nice people

Good price, 9 dollars for lunch with water. Buffet very clean with many choices. All food supposed to be hot was really hot temp, and cold stuff was cold. Even the fried fish was crisp and seasoned well, house chicken had the much desired spice kick. Waitress and checkout ladies very nice. Plenty of space to eat, they were still nice even asking to switch to table from booth. Soft serve ice cream was not runny. Been here 4 times so far and never got sick! Highly recommend!

Im not proud to admit this, but it was so good that my boyfriend and i ate there 3 times in 4 days. 😳

Good Buffet and lots of choices 😎

We arrived an hour before closing, they had already turned the heater off on the soups, so they were not at proper temperature to eat. They had 1 chicken on a stick left when we got there and they never refilled it, the entire time! They didn't refill the shrimp! They never refilled anything they ran out of except the rice. Our used plates where not removed either. 12.99 per person times 5 people, plus drinks....that is a good about of money for cold soup, non refilled food, especially the meats and dirty plates.

Do not expect shrimp for lunch. Dinner yes. Lot better to choose from...there is about a 15-20 minute wait when the shrimp is out. They don't seem to care about when there is none. Then they have started to cut back on how many they put out at a time. Trimming what is expensive wholesale i guess. Service/staff is always outstanding. Worth the money for dinner.

Loveeeeeeeee this place. The food is so good and so fresh and so hot. This place is truly one of the absolute best places for hot awesome food. It's still a buffet which makes it even better. Now I'm getting hungry. Love this place.

I will stick with my usual order. The rice was not good. I'll stick with my noodles/Lo mein. Maybe they had a different cook. It happens. But guess what, I'll be back.

Love this place! Clean, good selection of food, and very reasonably priced.

Worst experience ever. Myself and my 3 children went to go eat today. None of us thought the food tasted right at all. My daughter brings a plate of fruit only to find mold on her oranges and the orange she went to go eat tasted like lemons instead of like a orange meaning it was old and sour. I let someone know and all they did was take $5 off of our ticket. They are over priced for dinner charging over $11 a person. They dont even really have kid prices either. We definitely will not go back, ever. It made all of us sick to our stomachs.
